This online seminar includes only one face-to-face meeting on Thursday, February 23rd, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. If you cannot attend the face-to-face meeting, you can still participate. Learn how to design your online course syllabus, make use of OERs, communicate with students online, and assess them, too. This seminar will be offered only during the spring semester and includes a module on Open Educational Resources (OERs) from Professor Cailean Cooney. Participation is required for faculty who will be teaching hybrid and online courses. Prerequisite: Blackboard Fundamentals and a City Tech email account. For more information or to register, contact Dr. Karen Lundstrem at klundstrem@citytech.cuny.edu

You do not need to participate for the full length of the hybrid workshop, but you can use support materials and ask questions online throughout the month. Alternatively, just participate online and have access to videos, course documents, and instructors to answer your questions. Live Collaborate sessions can also be arranged.

Turnitin can be used within Blackboard or on its own via a Web-based version, which is good for OpenLab users.
