![]() "The essence of Mathematics lies in its freedom" ....Georg Cantor ![]() The Large Cardinal Hierarchy My research field is Mathematical Logic. My work to date has been in Set Theory, Models of Peano Arithmetic, and Computability Theory. I co-founded with Delaram Kahrobaei the New York Women in Mathematics Network (NYWIMN). The aim of NYWIMN is to promote the participation of women in mathematics by establishing close ties between women mathematicians, encouraging cooperation in research, and supporting the next generation of women students. We organized the first NYWIMN Conference in 2006. The second NYWIMN Conference took place on May 2nd, 2008 at City Tech. I am a member of the Center for Logic, Algebra, and Computation (C-LAC) at City Tech. The concept of computation has become fundamental to modern life and science. The center promotes interdisciplinary research in mathematical logic, algebra, and algorithms. The center's educational initiatives include student research projects, a regular seminar, and course development.
