D'Amico Foods was opened by Emanuele D'Amico nearly fifty
years ago, when he realized the need of authentic Italian
coffee, spice and cheese for the Italians, residing in Carroll
Gardens. Today this store has become vital part of this neighborhood.
Like many other Italian businesses, D'Amico Foods has also
been managed by the same family for three generations. In
the beginning the small store carried ethnic Italian foods
like Italian coffee, spices, olives, a selected variety of

preserve the music and life of Enrico Caruso, a legendary
Italian singer. 35 years ago, the idea of this museum was
put forward by Everisto Mancusi, an Italian immigrant and
a great fan of the opera singer. The museum also has a small
20 seat theater where people can enjoy watching old Caruso
films. The museum has attracted the television and radio industry.
Recently the museum was featured on a Channel 13 special on
"Interesting and unusual people and places". The
Enrico Caruso Museum of America is open by appointment only.
