A wonderful
shop for the entire family. Owner Lisa Mendoza quit her job
to make her fourteen- year ceramics hobby a career. Paint-your-own
ceramic is the latest craze here. It's popular among kids
as well as adults. You buy the plate or candle-stick or mug
and, like the name suggests, you paint your purchase (they
will fire it for you). |

This very hip Mexican joint, decorated not with the typical
sombreros but with retro photos of Marilyn and Greta, is always
jumping with a happy crowd of residents and tourists. The
stick-roasted corn con queso and cactus salad appetizers are
mouth-watering, but many main courses, fajitas, enchiladas
and the likes, are standard fare. The food here is excellent
but the ambiance is even better. The sidewalk bar scene, cozy
garden dining in the summer, friendly chat among locals, and
sometimes extraordinary live music, equals success. Reservations
recommended. |

Did
you know Mexicans invented the cowboy? Well they did, and
the culture is still alive today. Maybe this would explain
why there is an incredible display of imported cowboy boots
and related gear, coming all the way from Mexico; prices range
from $100. - $170. Ladies, no need to feel left out, smaller
sizes of the mens boots are available for purchase.
Try a cowboy shirt for about $45 or an authentic sombrero.
