Course Aims/Description - This course introduces the student to concepts of programming in a visual environment. The student uses code and concepts of programming to solve various common problems.

Material Fee - Those enrolled in this course are required to pay a $5.00 fee to cover
the cost of required materials that students use in the course. Materials
become the property of the student. This fee is to be paid at the time of
registration.
Attendance Policy – Attendance is expected at every class meeting. College policy sets the maximum number of permissible absences at 10% of the number of class meetings scheduled for the semester. If the class is meeting two times per week, you are permitted to be absent a total of three class sessions; if the class meeting only once per week, you are permitted to miss one and one-half of the class meetings.

Academic Violation - The instructor of the course has the authority to give a grad of F if the student submits work of another person in a manner that represents his/her work, or knowingly permits one’s work to be submitted by another person without the instructor’s permission. All class projects must be on your own floppy disk.
Grade Requirement - All majors in CIS, MS, and CIS must attain a grade of C or better in all MS and CS courses.
